Akim Osino (E/R), Feb. 7, GNA – Members of the Akim Osino SDA Church have raised GH A2 1,200.00 through their annual harvest to work on the extension of their church building. Briefing GNA at Akim Osino at the week end, the District Secretary of the Church, Mr Daniel Amoako Dwomoh, said the church had stepped up its activities resulting in the growth of its membership and the need to expand its building. Mr Dwomoh added that the district branch of the church at Akim Osino was assisting a young congregation at Akim Nsuapemso to put up its own church building.
He said the Akim Nsuapemso church realized GH A2 400.00 at its annual harvest to work on that project. Mr Dwomoh said the church was also embarking on the construction of a three-unit block for Kindergarten, a six-unit block for the primary section, a mission quarters a library to give more educational opportunities to pupils in the area. The District Presbyter, Madam Mary Kyeraa, said the projects were aimed at attracting more members and also helping in the socio-economic development of all communities in the church’s jurisdiction. 09 Feb. 09
