Osei Manu wins Suame Constituency NDC Primaries

Kumasi, June 2, GNA- Mr David Osei Manu, a 45 year old businessman was at the weekend elected unopposed as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Suame Constituency, in its primaries held in Kumasi.

All the 136 delegates endorsed him by popular acclamation in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC). Addressing the delegates after the election, Mr Nyaho Tamakloe, Ashanti regional Secretary of the party stressed the need for the followers of the party to organise themselves and adopt effective campaign strategies to enable the party to be victorious in the December 7 elections. He announced that the elections would be challenging and hoped that the NDC would win 30 to 40 per cent of the votes in the region. The Secretary commended the delegates for comporting themselves peacefully during the primaries. Mr Manu in his acceptance speech thanked the delegates for giving him the nod and promised to work assiduously to ensure the development of the area.

He urged the supporters and the people in the area to rally behind him and vote massively for the NDC to enable the party to win the December polls.
