Osei Assibey Antwi confirmed as KMA boss

Members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) have overwhelmingly endorsed an appointee of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the Chief Executive of the Assembly.

Mr Osei Assibey Antwi garnered 132 Yes votes, representing 99.2 per cent, at Friday’s election held in Kumasi.

There was one rejected vote and zero No vote.

New Patriotic Party supporters, sympathisers, assembly members and residents of Kumasi trooped to the True Vine Hotel where the election was held.

Delivering his acceptance speech, he pledged to work with structures to ensure speedy progress of the metropolis.

According to him, the administration of the assembly can run effectively if the structures were allowed to work.

He called on the members of the assembly to give him the needed support to enable him deliver on his mandate.
