Osafo Marfo visits Kotoko coach

Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo has visited the injured Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steven Polack at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, where he is receiving treatment after his team got involved in an accident.

The Minister was there to see how the Kotoko coach was faring.

Polack and the entire Kotoko squad including officials were involved in a fatal accident on their way from Accra to Kumasi after a league fixture against Inter Allies at the El Wak Stadium on Wednesday, 12 July.

The accident claimed the life of the assistant equipment officer on the spot.

All players who were on the bus and who sustained injuries, were treated and discharged later on Thursday with the exception of midfielder, Ollennu Ashitey who was admitted for close observation.

Ollennu was admitted alongside coach Polack and the bus driver, Joseph Nana Berkye who had surgeries late Thursday evening.

Coach Polack had to use a neck brace which has been removed as he is responding to treatment.

The medical team of the club on Saturday, 15 July invited all victims of the accident for thorough re-examination at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
