Osafo Marfo raises alarm over late gov’t recruitment

Head of the Nana Akufo-Addo transition team Yaw Osafo Marfo has raised concerns over some late recruitment into the various security agencies and other sectors by the outgoing government.

He has also berated efforts by the government to regularise the appointment of some individuals into the public service, following the defeat of the NDC in last week’s polls.

Speaking to the media Wednesday during the ongoing transition process in Accra, the former finance minister called on the outgoing Chief of Staff Julius Debrah to ensure that such engagements are stopped immediately.

He urged him to ensure that all major government decisions in the days ahead are discussed with the incoming team.

The process to hand over notes from the Mahama government to the the NPP administration is currently ongoing at the conference centre in Accra.

Spokesperson for the government team Hanna Tetteh has said their notes are ready to be handed over to the new team.
