The Executive Director of the Danquah Institute says organisers of the Bawumia lecture already had a backup plan with respect to the venue which explains why they were not affected when they were denied access to the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Nana Attobrah Quaicoe , mentioned that they beat the people at the International Conference Center to their own because they were denying them of a venue and never suspected the backup plan which the organizers had put in place.
He added that Dr. Bawumia’s lecture has suffered series of frustrations with the aim of disallowing the talk to hold right from its inception. He stated that the National Theater was not sabotaged because people were not in the know.
According to Nana Attobrah, denying Dr. Bawumia the AICC turned out to be God’s own plan for the lecture to be publicized adequately.
He added that most Ghanaians got to know of the lecture because the initial venue was denied.
“Sometimes the devil plans but it turns out to be in good course”, he stated.
He however denied rumors that the organizers of the lecture deliberately delayed payments of the AICC inoder to get publicity. He mentioned that as at 24 hours to the event, the organizers had received no bill from the AICC.
