Oracle Training for 200

Oracle Corporation, the world software giants, has entered into partnership with NIIT, the global IT solutions corporation to offer comprehensive training on Oracle technologies to Africa and Middle East audiences.

In that regard, NIIT, and its Ghanaian partner i2000 Limited are to invest over ?1 billion into an Oracle Information Technology (IT) Scholarship Fund called ‘Adepa-2000’ for training 200 people selected nationally.

At the launch of the fund in Accra, Mr. Kapil Guta, Head of NIIT Education Centre said students are expected to score at least 90% to qualify for the scholarship which will cover 75% of their training cost.

Mr. Guta said Oracle training is being made available in Ghana because of its wide acceptance and the tremendous demand for education on its products. He explained that the partnership was to leverage the expertise of both partners in creating new technologies to enhance the standard of IT in Ghana.

According to the partners, no IT background is necessary for prospective trainees.
