One person dies in Agona Duakwa accident

Agona Duakwa (C/R), Sept. 27, GNA – Kofi Kum, 26, one of the 10 people, who received various degrees of injury, when a mini bus ran into them at the outskirts of Agona Duakwa last Thursday, has died at Breman Asikuma Catholic Hospital.

According to a Family Spokesman the late Kum, who was referred to the Breman Asikuma Hospital, died in the early hours of Saturday. Tragedy hit Agona Duakwa when a mini bus ran into a group of people, who were trotting along the Swedru – Akim Oda trunk road as part of the activities marking the weeklong celebration of the annual Akwambo Festival of the Chiefs and people of Agona Duakwa.

The driver of the mini bus, whose name was given as Fiifi, is still on admission at the Breman Asikuma Hospital

Eight other victims, who were admitted at the Nsaba Health Centre and Duakwa Salvation Army Clinic, have been discharged, Mr Emmanuel Essel, Medical Assistant at Nsaba and Mrs Mary Danso, Nursing Officer at the Salvation Army clinic told the GNA. The Police at Duakwa are investigating the accident. 27 Sept. 05
