One-Man Demonstration Against Road Accidents

The first ever “One-Man” demonstration against road accidents in the country was staged in Accra today by Mr. Siaw Ampadu a concerned citizen who works as a businessman.

Dressed in an all-red attire and with police escort, Mr. Siaw Ampedu walked from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle through the Circle–Accra road to the British Council and Cedi House road and ended at the Ministry of Transport where he presented a petition to the Ministry.

Mr. Ampadu called on the Ministry of Transport to take all necessary measures to curb road accidents in the country including a ban on drinking spots at lorry stations.

Mrs. Adelaide Annor Kumi Director of Finance and Administration at the Ministry received the petition on behalf of the sector Minister Alhaji Collins Dauda. She said the Ministry will give the petition a serious attention and commended Mr. Ampedu for his effort.
