One kills in accident on Winneba-Accra road

Winneba, Sept.17, GNA – One person was killed and three others were injured when their Kia truck loaded with foodstuffs hit a bridge in Agona Abodom. The Winneba Municipal Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU), Assistant Superintendent of Police Nana Ofori gave the name of the dead as Kojo Ofori, aged 38. The truck was loaded with 30 bags of foodstuffs and heading towards Accra when the accident occurred. Mr. Ofori said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the Winneba Government Hospital for autopsy, adding that the injured were treated and discharged at the same hospital. He said the police are investigating the cause of the accident.
