One killed in Axim gas explosion

A seventy-year-old man has died in a gas explosion at Axim in the Western region.

The explosion, according to Starr News’ Emmanuel Ohene Gyan, occurred when some day-students of the Axim Senior High school threw their gas cylinder out of their hostel upon realising a leakage, Tuesday evening.

“The three girls out of fear for their lives quickly threw the cylinder out of their kitchen when they noticed that it was leaking and took to their heels.

“The gas then exploded and instantly killed the man who had just returned from half Assini,” Ohene Gyan noted.

The remains of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.
