Winneba (C/R) May 27, GNA – Mr. Joe Newton of Winneba died on his way to the Winneba Government Hospital following serious injuries he received when a taxi cab on which he was travelling from Winneba Junction to Winneba town ran into a stationary tipper truck on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the Winneba branch of the Taxi Union told the Ghana News Agency that the driver of the cab, whose name was not disclosed is on admission at the hospital with serious injuries. He said the body of Newton who was a friend to the driver had been deposited at the mortuary of the hospital awaiting autopsy.
