One burnt to death in a ghastly accident at Ekumfi

One person has died in a ghastly accident which occurred Wednesdy night at Ekumfi Akoti in the Central region.

The deceased, believed to be a Nigerian lost his life when the truck he was driving veered off the road and caught fire.
The truck which was loaded with Cola was on its way to Nigeria from Mankessim.

He is said to have lost control of the vehicle thereby veering into the bush.

The people in the area ran to his rescue but were only able to save the two other occupants in the truck before it caught fire burning the trapped driver beyond recognition.

Officers of the Ghana Fire Services later arrived at the scene to bring the inferno under control.

The occupants of the car were all Nigerians and are receiving treatment at the Cape Coast Regional Hospital.

This accident brings to two, the number of terrible accidents in the area in the last two weeks.

It was at that same area that 15 people lost their lives in a gory accident when an Obuasi bound Yutong bus collided with a Tarkoradi bound Sprinter bus.
