‘One battle down’ — Regina Daniels reacts after brother’s bail

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has spoken publicly once again regarding her ongoing marital dispute with her estranged billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, this time after her brother, Sammy Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, was granted bail.

Sammy West was released on Monday, November 10, after spending several days in police custody over issues linked to Regina’s marital crisis. A video posted by actress Doris Ogala showed Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, and actress Mercy Johnson leaving the courthouse after the bail proceedings.

In a video shared on her Facebook page hours after her brother’s release, Regina Daniels addressed the situation and thanked those who supported her family throughout the period.

“I feel good, jokes on you, Ned, because you thought people will hate me. Thank you everyone. My brother is out, one battle down,” she said.

“All of you mocked me on this internet, but the mockery actually gave me courage. I don’t like to be pitied… Truthfully, I need help, but I have raised myself so much in society that it feels illegal to ask for it.”

The dispute between the actress and Senator Nwoko escalated in October when a viral video showed Regina in tears, alleging domestic abuse. Nwoko later responded publicly, accusing Regina of drug and alcohol addiction. Over the weekend, the actress admitted to using hard drugs but implied that her husband was involved.

Sammy West’s release marks a temporary relief for the actress and her supporters as the high-profile marital dispute continues to unfold.
