This comes as a disclaimer to the media banter ongoing between an NDC USA group and Dr Lawrence Appiah-Osei of Friends of JDM, USA Chapter. (Refer modernghana.com, Diaspora section, USA of April 7-8, 2016).
Currently in the US are two main NDC groups – the “Ashiboi-Abass-Kpodzo”; and NDC USA Chapter, a coalition of majority branches incorporated as NDC USA Chapter with a website:- www.ndcusachapter.org. We members of the latter group, NDC USA Chapter, have no title role in the ensuing media combat. May our teaming members and branches across the country stay away from any media discussions on this matter as we have always done and concentrate on the real works of a chapter of NDC.
We gaze on with disquiet a simple misunderstand that could be resolved in-house taken to the media landscape for no reason other than to wash dirty linen in public. We regret the embarrassment suffered by all for the persistent thoughtless actions by some of our colleagues who seem to stop at nothing, but keep reducing the image of NDC in the USA at every turn.
We on this side would continue to direct our energies at the electioneering season on hand, harnessing our collective efforts to complement that of our compatriots at home and in the Diaspora, to ensure the re-election of our President (John Dramani Mahama), and return the NDC Party into government. It is gloomy to find that while some of us are using the media marketplace to educate folks about the positive transformation ongoing in Ghana, others hold nightly meetings to issue threats and needless suspension notes to their colleagues on same media marketplace.
We on our part would remain faithful and optimistic to the cause of NDC as functionaries, finding ways to play a role in the visible transformational agenda being rolled out by President Mahama and his hardworking team of Ministers, technocrats, and patriotic citizens of Ghana.
