Omanhene praises Ghanaians for successful elections

Ajumako (C/R), Dec. 22, GNA- Okokodurfo Ogyeabuo Nana Kwamina Hammah Ababio II, Omanhen of the Ajumako Traditional Area, has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, the media, the Electoral Commission (EC), the security services, and churches for their contributions towards the peaceful and successful election on December 7.

The Omanhene also congratulated President J A Kufuor and his administration.

Nana Ababio who is also the President of the Ajumako Traditional Council was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at his palace at Ajumako on Monday.

He said that by this achievement Ghana had chalked an enviable and respectable record world wide in terms of democratic dispensation. He appealed to all politicians and their supporters to bury their differences and offer constructive criticism and suggestions that would help move the nation forward.

On the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), the chief said it would soon bring smiling faces to all Ghanaians. He praised the government for its foresight and concern for the welfare of the people.
