Omane Boamah ‘killing’ NDC’s election strategy – NDC Communicator

Communicators of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) are accusing government Ministers of refusing to give them useful information that will aid in helping them propagate the good works of the John Mahama-led administration.

According to the communicators and media monitors (serial callers) of the NDC, they are unable to communicate to grassroots supporters who in turn will disseminate the information to the people as the elections draw near.

Media Monitoring wing of the party in the Ashanti Region yesterday reached an agreement not to appear or contribute to discussions in any form on radio and television stations because they have no information.

They say the leadership of the party has also not been forthcoming with information to defend the good works of President John Mahama.
“We the members of above-mentioned association wish to inform the general public that effect from Monday 16th May 2016 will suspend calling and texting message to both radio and TV programs in support of NDC party and gov”t. This tough decision was taken on Sunday 15th May 2016 at our general meeting.

“We will like to further state that, until we meet the leadership of the NDC party the decision will not be change . Again if by Wednesday we did, t hear anything from the party leadership different action will be taken . we believe that this decision will serve the best interest of the NDC party and gov”t,” the group said in a statement Monday, May 16, 2016.

Speaking on the AM Drive on Atinka FM today, a member of the NDC’s Communications team, Eric Ametor-Quarmyne backed the decision of the serial callers and blamed the development on Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah. He said Dr. Omane Boamah is not on top of his job and therefore needs to sit up if the party intends to seek another mandate from the electorate in the impending polls on November 7, 2016.

He recounted an instance where he had to ‘beg’ a member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for a copy of a contract between Government of Ghana and the Ameri Group before he could get the required information to defend the government position
