Old Tafo/Suame MP donates to schools

Kumasi, Dec 31, GNA- Mr Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Member of Parliament for Old Tafo/Suame, on Tuesdy donated 195 bags of cement purchased from his share of the MPs’ Common Fund for the completion of three schools in his constituency.

The schools are Sarafia English-Arabic that was allocated 85 bags, Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary school that had 60 bags and the Ibadia Primary School that received 50 bags.

Making the presentation at Pankrono, a surburb of Kumasi, Mr Mensah-Bonsu said he was hopeful that the items would help in the completion of the schools so as to facilitate teaching and learning. He cautioned School Management Committees (SMCs) that were in the habit of using such donations for different purposes to desist from that practise.

Mr Charles Osei Mensah, Assemblyman for Pankrono who received the items, expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture.
