Old Tafo Local Council of Churches organise thanksgiving service

Kumasi, Feb 14, GNA – Rev Paul Kwadwo Frempong, Superintendent Minister in-charge of Voice of Christ Ministry at Pankrono Estate in Kumasi, has said peace and stability are important pre-requisites for every successful democracy.

He has therefore urged Ghanaians to put their weight behind the government in its efforts to sustain the country’s democracy. Rev Frempong was preaching at a thanksgiving and prayer service organised by the Old Tafo Local Council of Churches in Kumasi on Sunday for ensuring peace in the last December polls.

He stressed the need for Ghanaians to eschew negative tendencies and gear their efforts towards initiating more development programmes to improve the living conditions of the people.

Rev Frempong praised Ghanaians for exhibiting maturity that resulted in a peaceful, free and fair and transparent elections last year.

He called on the people to support the New Patriotic Party government to ensure political and socio-economic development of Ghana. Rev G.K. Boampong, the Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Pankrono Methodist Church, called for unity among Ghanaians at all times.

Special prayers were offered for the prosperity and development of the country.
