Old Students Reward Tutor and Student

Kumasi, June 26, GNA – The Toronto branch of the Opoku Ware Senior High School (OWASS) Alumni Association in Canada, has conferred honours on a tutor and a student of the School for their contributions to the development of the school.

The awards, made up of plagues and cash, were presented during a short but impressive ceremony in the School.

Mr. Ahmed Owusu Ansah received the Best Teacher Award in recognition of his outstanding achievement in rendering service to the school. The Best Student Award, dedicated to Dr. S.K. Adda, an Alumnus, went to Master Kwame Adjei Akrasi, Senior Prefect, for being a brilliant and disciplined student.

Mr. James Aidoo, an old student and a member of the association who presented the awards, said the association was determined to contribute their quota towards the development of their Alma Mater. Mr. Stephen Anokye, Headmaster of the school, was full of praise to the association for showing concern and expressed the hope that the presentation would spur other teachers and students on to work hard towards the upliftment of the school.
