“Okumkom” ordered to appear before court

Kumasi, March 11, GNA – A Kumasi circuit court presided over by Mr Ernest Yao Obimpeh has ordered Nana Akwasi Agyeman, a former Mayor of Kumasi and his wife, Nana Ama Serwaah, to appear before it on March 17 to answer charges against them.

Nana Agyeman and his wife have been accused of conspiring to defraud one Madam Isabella Acquah of 30 million cedis under the pretext of renting her a single storeroom at “Doctor Mensah” in Kumasi. When the court called the case on Thursday, both Nana Agyeman and his wife were absent.

The presiding judge did not allow the prosecutor to narrate the case and ordered that two suspects be present in court on March 17
