Okudjeto Ablakwa inaugurates an ultramodern ict training centre at Agbogba

Mr. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, a Deputy Minister of Information has inaugurated an Ultramodern Computer Training Centre for Advanced Vision International School at Agbogba, a suburb of Accra.

The state-of-the art Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre which comes with brand new computers, LCD Projector, Webcams, Headsets, and Internet Access, was an initiative of Techcom Visions Limited, a Ghanaian Information Technology (IT) solutions company under its ICT services for schools dubbed Eduboost.

The Deputy Minister, who was the special guest at the ceremony, highlighted the essence of computer skills and the government’s commitment to get Ghana on the information technology superhighway.

He indicated that, ICT was bridge for the socio-economic divide between Ghana and the developed world and called on all Ghanaians to be computer literate regardless of age.

Mr. Okudjeto Ablakwa appreciated the contribution of Techcom Visions Limited in complementing the effort of the Government by making computers available to schools.

He encouraged private school owners to contact Techcom Visions for them to establish appropriate ICT training centres for them, as the Better Ghana Laptops currently are strictly for public schools.

Mr. Tsonam Cleanse Akpeloo, CEO of Techcom Visions, said the company will continue to give students head start in information technology, broaden their worldview and facilitate teaching, learning and management of schools.

He therefore encouraged more schools to sign up for the Eduboost platform.

Under the Eduboost, Techcom Visions establishes ultramodern ICT training centres, provide comprehensive school management software, school website, e-learning software, ICT refresher courses for teachers and manages the ICT infrastructure for its partner schools.**
