Okoe Vanderpuije switches to ‘demolition mode’ after elections

The Accra Mayor Mr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije has bounced back in pulling down all structures which pose threat to public safety in the Metropolis barely a week after the December 7, 2016 elections.

The AMA boss is set to raze down a building at Adabraka close to the Evangel Assemblies of God Church and the African University College of Communications (AUCC) which has become a threat to public safety.

The facility which serves as a warehouse for a company has become a death trap and residents around have called on authorities to bring it down.

He has ordered occupants of the building and neighbouring residents to vacate their homes prior to the demolishing exercise which will be done on Friday December 16, 2016.
