Oko Vanderpuije arrests motorists at new Circle Interchange

The Mayor of Accra, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije has ordered security guards to arrest motorists who ply the new Kwame Nkrumah Interchange ahead of the official commissioning today.

Speaking to GHOne TV, he bemoaned the high level of indiscipline by motorists having already been served not ply the new interchange before commissioning.

He said “Last week we came round and made announcement, we informed the general public over activities that will not be acceptable here… Okada bikes, parking just anywhere, on the pavement, on road.”

Mr. Vanderpuije continued, “These are the elements we will not accept, high levels of indiscipline…. we will not tolerate. This is an example of me putting my words into action.”
