OKESS student found with gun during dormitory search

A form two student of Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School(OKESS) has been found with a locally manufactured gun without lawful authority during a routine dormitory search.

The discovery, according to school authorities, was made on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 9:30 am.

The student whose identity has been withheld was promptly apprehended and handed over to the Tafo Pankrono Police Command for investigation and further action.

The Police revealed that during questioning, the student identified his stepfather, Daniel Owusu Baafi as the owner of the gun.

Mr. Baafi was subsequently arrested on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

They were both however, granted police enquiry bail and expected to report to authorities on Monday, May 19, 2025, as investigations proceed.
