Oguaa full of excited Christmas Shoppers

Cape coasts, Dec 26, GNA -Traders in the Cape Coast Metropolis have expressed delight that sales had been good this year, when the GNA went round the business centre around Kotokuraba and the Commercial street.

At the “Down Town Ventures” wine shop at Kingsway, the owner who only gave her name as Rosemond told GNA that this year’s sales had been extra good compared to the previous year as a lot of people were giving out hampers and other presents to their loved ones regardless of the price.

She said a bottle of wine sells between six and 100 Ghana Cedis.

Traders had displayed goods such as biscuits, drinks, shoes, toys, Christmas cards, clothes, Christmas paraphernalia and so many other items making the atmosphere gleesome and charged for the festivity.

Speaking to some traders in the municipality, an attendant at the Stella Doughan GTP shop told the GNA that they were grateful to see the year pass without much trouble, and that business was quite encouraging.

She pointed out that people in Cape Coast normally engage in last minute shopping and was therefore hoping for a massive patronage of the clothes during the Yuletide.

Another owner of a GTP shop, Maame Akua Sam, said that even though their prices range between GHC29.00 and GHC58.00, sales had been good.

A shop where kids wear, watches, sun glasses, perfumes, and caps were displayed, had a lot customers patronizing kids wears which sell between GHC15.00 to GHC80.0.

A shop attendant at a flour store also told the GNA that about 45 bags of flour are sold a day, and upon special request they can sell 100 and above and added that sales had been good this year.
