Koforidua, Aug. 6, GNA – Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the Eastern Regional Minister, on Thursday presented 10 bundles of roofing sheets to the AME Zion Primary “B” School at Anlo Town in Koforidua. The presentation followed an “SOS” message the school sent to the minister to assist in re-roofing the school. He assured the management of the school of his determination to help improve the school’s facilities to enhance teaching and learning. Mr Ofosu-Ampofo told the teachers that the government was concerned about their conditions of service and was taking the necessary steps to improve upon them.
He urged them to guard against acts that would undermine teaching and learning to ensure that the country produced quality graduates who would contribute their quota towards the socio-economic development of the country Mrs Cecilia Obeng Kwakye, head teacher of the school, thanked the minister for the prompt response to their appeal. She said the donation showed the importance the minister attached to education and appealed for the construction of a new building to replace the present deplorable one.
