Ofori Panin SHS inducts headmaster

The Ofori Panin Senior High School (SHS) at Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region has held an induction service for Dr Edmund Kudjoe Fianu, its new headmaster.

The Reverend Max Amagyei Antwi, Old Tafo District Minister of the Presbyterian Church, reminded the new headmaster that he has taken office at a time when high rate of immorality seems to have engulfed some educational institutions.

He therefore charged him to be ready to find quick antidote to any challenge that may confront the school to maintain its high academic reputation.

Rev Antwi appealed to teachers to put in their best and to let unity be among them.

“Understand each other and learn to live in harmony, endeavour to jaw jaw with the authorities to find solutions to your problems”, he admonished.

Rev Antwi implored the school authorities to have a listening ear for the tutors and engage them in fruitful discussions whenever they bring their problems so that they could have the peace of mind to teach the students.

Osabarima Adusei Peasah IV, Akyem Tafohene, advised students to be disciplined at all times and to concentrate on their academic work.

“Shun bad companies that have the potential of jeopardising your life as students, stay away from habits such as smoking and drinking among other vices,” he said.

Osabarima Peasah said as students their primary responsibility is to study hard to pass their examinations and move on to become useful citizens.

Dr Fianu pledged to work hard to leave the school better than he had met it.

He said he would work hand in hand with all to make the school a centre of excellence.
