Offinso Teachers Attend Snail-Farming W’kshop

Offinso (Ash), June 23, – Primary and Junior Secondary School Agricultural Science Teachers in the Offinso district last Friday attended a day’s workshop on snail farming at Offinso. Organised by the Offinso district educational directorate, the workshop aimed at encouraging large-scale snail production for local markets and for export. Topics discussed included the decline of snail production, the importance of snail for human consumption, the natural enemies of snails, housing and nursery of snails. Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Kwasi Agyemang-Prempeh, District Education Service Agricultural Science Co-ordinator, urged the participants to impart the knowledge they have acquired to their pupils and their community members.
