Offers flood in for auction of AMA properties

Auctioneers of properties of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly say they have received several calls from interested individuals.

Vans Mart Auctioneers, which has been authorized to sell off the properties to defray the assembly’s judgment debts, said nothing has changed about the day set for the auctioning.

Jacobus Vandepuye of the Vans Mart Auctioneers speaking to XYZ News they will go ahead with their auction of the properties.

“People have been calling me…once it is a public auction definitely people would be interested”.

Meanwhile, XYZ News reporter Emilia Agblevor who visited the premises of the AMA Tuesday morning engaged a tax collector who said the AMA is poorly being managed.

According to him, the decision to auction AMA’s properties is the best since staff of the assembly has refused to do their work properly.
