Odotobri NPP launches campaign

Jacobu (Ash), Nov 28, GNA – The people of the newly created Amansie Central District have been asked to show appreciation to President Kufuor by voting massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in December 2004 election.

Mr Richard Aboagye, Amansie East District Chief Executive, said the retention of President Kufuor and the NPP would enable the government to develop the area to befit the new status of a district.

Speaking at the launching of the NPP’s campaign for the Odotobri constituency at Jacobu, in the Ashanti Region, he called the attention of the people to what the government under the leadership of President Kufuor had done within the relatively short period of his tenure of office.

He said given four more years, the people would see tremendous improvement in their lives and asked them to vote massively for the NPP. Mr Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi, the NPP parliamentary candidate, said education would be his priority and asked the electorate to give him their votes to turn falling standard of education in the constituency round.

He said the health of the people was also dear to him and would ensure the establishment of clinics in the communities.

Nana Amoateng Gyamaa II, Akwamuhene of Jacobu, appealed to politicians to abide by the code of conduct of the political parties and to avoid insults and inflammatory language to ensure a peaceful election.
