Obotumpine L/A primary school needs help

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Samamia Shipping Company Limited, Mr, Samuel Amia is appealing to individuals, corporate organizations and philanthropist to assist with giving Obotumpine L/A Basic School a face-lift.

The CEO has personally assisted the school which is in a deplorable state with funding to put up some classroom blocks, , a school bus among other basic facilities, yet it lacks access to a computer laboratory, an extra block for the upper primary, a staff common room, a library and a toilet facility.

Obotumpine L/A Primary School located within the Suhum Municipality in the Eastern Region has about over 300 pupils from the various communities in the region.

Mr. Samuel Amia who is himself an old student of says the deplorable nature of the school which has seen some sort of improvement still needs help to aid teaching and learning. The school also lacks access to electricity.

According to him, the school could be expanded to the level of a Junior High School if the needed support is given to the school.

He explained, education is key and every Ghanaian child needs to be educated no matter where they are.
