Obinim lost his senses during flogging of church members – Lutterodt

Church Leaders and Elders of the International God’s Way Church must bow their heads in shame for failing to intervene and bring Bishop Daniel Obinim on track when he decided to flog the adolescents claimed to have committed acts of fornication, that is the contention of Counselor George Lutterodt.

He adds: “As leaders of the church, if the man of God has lost his senses in anyway, per his emotions you need to step in because this is not right,”

Speaking on Kasapa FM’s Afisem show hosted by Serwah Akoto, the controversial counselor said members of the Church who have given off their children to be cared by Obinim should rescind their decision from now because he argues, Obinim per his actions does not have the qualities to shepherd anyone as a Father.

“If you have the heart to foster children, have the ability to monitor them…and don’t bring your shame to the church. What Obinim did has exposed him as not a qualified Father and a husband to a family. He disgraced himself,” he said.

He also asked that Obinim apologizes to the wife, Florence for unleashing his anger on her in public, a sign of disrespect, he noted.

Although Lutterodt agreed with Obinim on the disciplinary actions against the children, he believes the format of his sanctions was wrong and must be condemned.

Human Rights Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu and two others have filed suits against the pastor seeking to have the bishop arrested and prosecuted for his conduct.

In the presence of the whole congregation, Wednesday evening, the Bishop removed his belt, and flogged young couple and later invited one of his assistant Pastors to join in the action. He was captured in a short video which has since gone viral.
