Obasanjo leaves for home

Accra, June 3, GNA – Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo left for home on Friday after an overnight private visit to Ghana during which he held talks with President John Agyekum Kufuor.

President Obasanjo, who is also the AU Chairman, arrived from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, where he attended the two-day Seventh Ordinary Session of the Conference of the Leaders and Heads of State Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD).

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo told newsmen on Thursday that the Nigerian leader was on a private visit.

The discussions between the two Presidents were said to include the situation on the Continent, including the Togo crisis. President Kufuor saw him off.
