Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has disregarded Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe as a leading member and even a member of the ‘Elephant’ fraternity.
He noted on OKAY FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe is not to fit to earn the accolade as a ‘leading member’ of the NPP – after explaining that his behaviour rather dent the image of the party instead of making it attractive.
“Nyaho-Tamakloe is not part of the NPP so he should let the party be,” he said – but host of the program, Kwesi Aboagye hastily asked him [Obiri Boahen] if Dr. Tamakloe is not a true member of the NPP.
“Apuu tor! Who is a founding member? Don’t provoke me with that to hang up the call,” he angrily said.
His comment comes after the NPP founding member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe criticized the party heavily in his recent interview with Accra-based television station, GH ONE.
He lashed at the factions in the NPP as well as the party’s inability to win the upcoming elections – Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe also believe that NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo might not win the November 7 polls and claimed the NPP is ‘bleeding’.
But Obiri Boahen has called a bluff of Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe’s claims and accused him of not paying his party dues – “How can such a person be a founding member of the party?”
“NPP is united without Tamakloe. No sensible person will say bad things about his party. What is his [Tamakloe] problem about the NPP? He is not part of us,” he repeated.
