Nungua Traditional Council calls on ministry of interior and police to restore law and order

Nungua Traditional Council have called on the ministry of interior and police to assist them in restoring law and order at Nungua.

This comes in the wake of the controversy surrounding the burial of the late Wulomor.

Secretary of Adjenorwe clan, Emmanuel Anu Laryea disclosed to the media at a symposium held at the Nungua palace that the public should discard the earlier announcement which was made by Nuumo Akwetey Faashie concerning the funeral arrangement of the late Gborbu Wulomo .

Again ,they should desist from partaking in any curfew intended to be imposed on the residents of Nungua and its environs including Spintex Road, Sakumono, Addogonno, Buade, Okpoi-gonno, Baatsona, Kotobabi, Borteyman, Lashibi, Klagon and Oyibi from Thursday 2nd March to Friday 3rd March 2017.he added

He stressed that “the ban on commercial activities during the funeral is immoral and uncalled for, it is the height of indiscipline which is uncharacteristic of the Nungua state”.

He said much as the Traditional Council will like to honour the memory of the late Gborbu Wulomo, his soul must be allowed to rest in peace and his passing should not be used as an occasion to mislead and defraud the public.

He emphasized the Nungua Traditional council could sense war due tp the uncalled behavior of certain clans in Nungua so they are therefore calling on the ministry of interior and the police assist them in bringing law and order to the people of Nungua.
