Number Six Benda-Nkwanta road under rehabilitation

Nkwanta (W/R), Aug 26, GNA – The seven-kilometre Nkwanta-Number Six Benda road in the Wassa Amenfi West district is being rehabilitated at the cost of 817 million cedis. The project, which involves spot improvement and provision of some bridges and culverts, is being executed under the Community Based Rural Development Project (CBRDP).

Mr Alberto Terkyi, the District Chief Executive, said a permanent bridge to span River Bomsotro would be constructed next year. Mr Kingsley Poku, the Manager of the company that had been awarded the contract, said the project would be completed within six months. Opaning Kwaku Duah, a spokesman for the community, said the people would cooperate with workers of the company and provide them with accommodation to ensure that the project, which is dear to their heart, was completed on schedule.
