NUGS send congratulatory message on Independence.

Accra, March 5. GNA- The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), had congratulated Ghanaians on the occasion of the 47th Anniversary of Ghana’s Independence for working hard to sustain the nation’s independence.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued by NUGS on Friday and signed by its President, Mr Ken Abotsi.

The statement called on Ghanaians to avoid political intolerance, and be ready to resist any attempt by any group of persons who would subvert the country’s independence for their selfish gains. It noted that until the people in the country held the view of oneness the attainment of true “Freedom and Justice” would be meaningless.

“Until the philosophy that holds the views of one group as superior to that of others is exorcised from our national psyche, the attainment of true freedom and justice will remain far-fetched,” the statement said.
