Accra, Aug. 24, GNA – Newly elected executives of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) would on Friday 25, be inducted into office at a ceremony in Accra. The handing-over ceremony follows a successful National Delegates’ Congress in Kumasi, a statement from NUGS said on Thursday.
It said the decision to have the handing-over was taken at a meeting of the Committee of Eminent Bloc Heads in Accra last week. The Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRSAG), Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS), University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) and the Regional Students Representative Councils (RSRCs) constitute the Bloc Committee.
The statement congratulated the newly elected national officers and all Ghanaian students for comporting themselves during the crisis that bedevilled the Union 24 Aug. 06
