NUGS appeals to President for re-instatement of students

The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), on Monday petitioned the President, Mr. John Agyekum Kufuor to intervene to have the students of the University of Cape Coast, who were rusticated for demonstrating against the grading system of the University last March, reinstated.

NUGS also appealed to the President against the withholding of the results of the affected students who include its leader, Mr Frank Annor-Dompreh.

In a release issued in Accra and signed by Mr. Quranchie Adama-Tettey, Press and Information Officer, NUGS expressed the hope that the President “will bring his fatherly experience to bear on the issue” and expedite action on it before the continuing students resume.
