Ntsiakokrom Primary School destroyed in rainstorm

Ntsiakokrom (W/R) March 28, GNA – The roof of a block of six classrooms of the Ntsiakokrom Saint Paul’s Anglican Primary School in the Wassa West District was ripped off during a rainstorm that hit the town last Saturday. Damage to property including files, text and exercise books, furniture and the building was estimated at several millions of cedis.

Mr. Anthony Essel Mensah, acting head teacher of the school told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that classes were not in session when the disaster occurred. He appealed for support from churches, NGOs and individual citizens of the area to rehabilitate the school block. Mr. Emmanuel Ayensu, Wassa West District Chief Executive who inspected the damage, has promised assistance from the district assembly to enable the pupils to begin classes as early as possible.
