Nsutaman launches one billion-cedi community centre project

Nsuta (Ash), April 9, GNA – The chiefs and people of Nsuta in the Sekyere West District launched a one billion-cedi community centre project at a fund-raising harvest jointly organized by the Nsutaman Youngsters Club and Nsutaman Youth Movement on Easter Sunday. Speaking at the ceremony Mr Osei Assibey-Antwi, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, said the government had voted 22 billion cedis towards the rehabilitation of the Kwamang/Nsuta road and the tarring of roads in Nsuta.

He commended the people of Nsuta both residents and non-residents for their co-operation for the development of the town. Mr Kwabena Owusu-Saddam, Chairman of the Nsutaman Youngsters Club, said citizens of the town resident in Canada were supporting the project with 32 million cedis.

The project is being financed through voluntary contributions and fund-raising harvests.

Mr Owusu-Saddam said plans were far advanced to construct a community library and an Information Communication Technology (ICT) centre. Nana Adu Agyei Bonsafo II, Omanhene of Nsuta, appealed to the residents to be law-abiding and always contribute towards the development of the town.
