Everything seems to be moving on smoothly for National Service Personnel serving the country as the government plans to introduce new insurance policy for them.
The National Service Scheme is collaborating with Glico Insurance and other companies to insure service personnel across the country.
The new policy to be benefited by the youth was made known to the public by the Deputy Director of the Scheme, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye well known as Nana B on Kumasi-based Hello Fm on Monday.
According to him, the insurance policy will come to help address most challenges and difficulties they go through during their one year service to the nation
The policy is expected to be launch today, 31st October 2017, is the first of its kind from a government.
However, when mynewsgh.com interacted with some personnel already in the scheme, some posed the question of how they will benefit after their service if they are not able to claim their benefits during the period.
Nana B in response, said their concerns would be looked into and that the possibility they could benefit from it after their service is feasible.
“It is sad to see the suffering most service personnel go through. We will look at very well so that they can benefit even after their service period”
