Social Presentation Bikes Minister presents motor bikes to 21 Assemblies
Koforidua April 2, GNA – Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Eastern Regional Minister, on has presented 52 motor bikes to the 21 Municipal and District Assemblies in the region, at a ceremony at Koforidua. Presenting the items, Mr Ofosu-Ampofo said the bikes were donated by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of development projects in their areas. He reminded the recipients that there were so many projects in their areas such as the School Feeding Programme and school buildings under construction that needed to be monitored to ensure value for money. Mr Ofosu-Ampofo expressed the hope that the bikes would be put to good use and also be maintained well to make them durable. Mr Evans Charles Apraku, Kwahu North District Chief Executive, on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the Ministry for the gesture. He gave the assurance that they would use them for the intended purpose to ensure progress.
