Social Presentation Orphans NGO presents school items to AIDS orphans

Asiakwa (E/R), June 19, GNA – Nana Kwayowa Foundation, a non-governmental organization based at Asiakwa, on Friday donated school bags, stationery and shoes to 40 orphans staying at Asiakwa and surrounding communities. The children whose ages range between four and 13 have lost either one or both parents through HIV/AIDS. Nana Akua Kwayowa, Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, said the support was to enable the children to continue their education to help them overcome their vulnerability. She said the Foundation had been organizing HIV/AIDS education programmes for the children to help them avoid being victims of the disease. Nana Kwayowa said in addition, the Foundation had also been providing food packages to the children.
