NSMQ 2017: North America Adisadel Old Boys congratulate contestants

Alumni of Adisadel College have extended their congratulations to the schools’ representatives at the just ended National Maths and Science Quiz despite their inability to defend the title.

In a statement released by the Adisadel Old Boys Association, North America (AOBA-NA), they indicated that the boys have set the pace in academic knowledge worthy of emulation by the entire student body.

“To Masters Quansah and Assan-Annobil, we want you to know you made us proud. We know you wanted to retain the trophy but putting things in perspective, you still emerged number three out of all the senior high schools in Ghana. You kept faith with our motto “Vel Primus Vel Cum Primis” and we want you to be proud of what you achieved. You bore the weight of all Santaclausians worldwide and you made us proud. Adisadel is trending more on social media than even the school with the trophy because of your resilience. Thank you, we are proud to call you fellow Santaclausians”, the statement read.

Students and Alumni of Adisadel College alike were subjected to taunts and trolls from their counterparts from other schools following their inability to hold on to the National Maths and Science Quiz trophy which they won in 2016, a feat achieved by only Presec-Legon.

The Adisadel Old Boys Association, North America also congratulated current winners of the competition for lifting the trophy as well as Aquinas for a worthy participation.

Below is the full statement;

The Adisadel Old Boys Association, North America (AOBA-NA) wishes to congratulate our National Maths and Science Quiz team led by Edward DeGraft Vanderpuije Quansah and Sylvanus Afful Assan-Annobil for their performance in the just ended national maths and science quiz (NMSQ) in Ghana. We also thank the science and maths teachers, the heads of the departments of science and maths, the headmaster, and the entire student body for their passion and sacrifices in bringing the school this honour once again. The Adisadel NSMQ team members are certainly pacesetters in academic knowledge that the entire student body should aspire to emulate.

To Masters Quansah and Assan-Annobil, we want you to know you made us proud. Thank you, we are proud to call you fellow Santaclausians.

To Prempeh College, congratulations on a well-deserved win and kudos to St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School for making a worthy competition as well. We wish you and all the students who took part in this year’s competition the very best as you move on to greater accomplishments. God bless you and God bless our homeland Ghana!!!
