Nsawam youth assured of re-opening of Nsawam Cannery

Nsawam, Nov. 23, GNA – Mr Magnus Opare-Asamoah, New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Akwapim South Constituency has assured the youth of the area that efforts were being made by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government to re-open the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Cannery to create more jobs for the youth in the area.

He said this would stop the youth from flocking to the cities in search of non-existing jobs.

Mr Opare-Asamoah said more than 500 youths would be employed at the Factory while others would assist pineapple farmers, tomato growers and others to convey their farm produce to the factory and other marketing centres.

He gave the assurance at an annual Odwira festival of the chiefs and people at Sakyikrom after touring some of the communities including Aburi, Ahwerease, Gyankamah, Kitase, Obodan, Ahama Ahama, Pakro, Kwasikrom and Dego.

Nana Sakyi Amako, Chief of Sakyikrom, commended the NPP Government for the numerous development projects initiated in the area including KVIP toilets, schools, clinics and roads.

Nana Amako appealed to the people to vote massively on Election Day to choose the right government that would bring peace and tranquillity to the country.
