Nsawam/Adoagyiri Assembly confirms Ohene Ayeh

The Nsawam/Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly has confirmed the President’s nominee, Mr Ben Ohene Ayeh as the substantive Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Assembly at a special meeting of the Assembly at Nsawam.

He polled 36 out of the total 42 votes cast by the members of the Assembly.

Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, the Eastern Regional Minister, assured the people that the confirmation of the MCE would pave the way for all development projects in the area to be implemented at a faster rate.

He said Mr Ayeh would be sworn into office on December 31, 2015 at Koforidua to enable him to start work as early as possible.

Mr Ayeh failed to secure the needed number of votes to qualify for the position at the first voting of the Assembly some ten days ago.
