Nsakye community lacks toilet facilities

Aburi (E/R), May 14, GNA – The Chiefs and people of Nsakye near Aburi in the Akwapim South District Assembly, have appealed to the Assembly to rehabilitate the two community KVIP toilet facilities that were destroyed by rainstorm a year ago to avert epidemic outbreak. Nana Kwadjo Antwi, Ebusuapanyin of Nsakye, who addressed a meeting of opinion leaders of the town, said due to the lack of toilet facilities people were defecating indiscriminately especially along river Nsakye, which is the main source of drinking water for the community.

He called for urgent measures to reverse the situation before the drinking of the contaminated water led to the spread of cholera.
