NRC to hear witnesses from Upper West, B/A and Ashanti

Sunyani, Sept. 3, GNA- The National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) has announced that its second public hearings in Kumasi will begin from Tuesday, September 9 to Friday, September 19 at the GNAT Hall at Amakom in Kumasi.

A statement signed by the Kumasi Zone Manager, Mr Sampson Amofa-Kra, said cases selected for hearing are from the Upper West, Brong Ahafo and Ashanti regions.

It said copies of the list of persons invited to appear before the Commission has been displayed at the GNAT Hall, Amakom, Kumasi, Regional Co-ordinating Council, Sunyani and Regional Co-ordinating Council in Wa. The list indicates that 33 persons from Ashanti, 19 from Brong Ahafo and five from Upper West are slated to appear before the Commission.

All witnesses, whose cases would be heard are invited to meet the Legal personnel of the Commission for briefing at the GNAT Hall, Kumasi on Monday, September 8 at 1000 hrs prompt, the statement added. It said the Commission would appreciate the co-operation of the general public and persons invited to appear before it.
